GreenLIFE has recently received the IUR Certification for Leather R&D Project. The IUR, International Union of Research, is the committee that within the IULTCS, which is the international representative body for associations and professionals operating in the chemical and leather manufacturing industries, specialising in recognising and supporting projects that have a significant scientific relevance with special attention to introducing improvements in terms of environmental sustainability. In 2010, the IUR introduced a certification process for consistency of research initiatives considering certain criteria, such as compliance with the real needs of the tanning industry and the application of clear methods of R&D. Greenlife has been accepted for this certification, and has proved the value of both its processes and its objectives, which are bringing innovations to improve the environmental sustainability of the entire tanning industry.
